Guild Wars 2

Hi,
So I just recently bought and downloaded/installed GW2 etc.
I want to play on Gate of Madness with my friends, however it is full. What I am getting at is are free world transfers still available? Can I make a char on a different server and get them to transfer to there or vice versa?

Anyways any help me appreciated.

I have absolute the same issue, my friends are also on a different server witch is full, and i would love to play on the same!

Thanks for the quick reply! But if the server is full, there is no transfer possible! Will there be more space in the full servers in the coming days?

Just keep checking every day. I had to wait a day before I could transfer to the server I wanted.

How do we complete the ‘free’ transfer and once we transfer does everything with our character stay the same such as visible areas on the map?

It’s really easy. On the character select screen, lower left, “World Select”, go in, pick a server, and select transfer. 1-2 minutes later, you are playing. Nothing about your character changes, at all. Everything remains the same.

Well I seems to remember (and in fact read http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_status_updates) ANet promising something along those lines.

Until we announce otherwise, character transfers are still free. So yes, friends can transfer to your server, or you can transfer to theirs. Enjoy!

What about if we need to transfer to a server that’s permanently full at all times of the day? How are supposed to get with our friends on those servers? It’d be nice to be able to transfer to these at some point before the free transfers end.

I believe if you log into the game just after the maintenance you greatly increase the chances of being able to transfer to the server.

ANet seems to be consistently increasing server capacity, also.

What I would love if someone from ANet answered is: will we get some forewarning before free transfers end?
