Has there been any word on a free-trial? I am currently trying to some friends of mine to play and a free-trial would be the best way for them to learn about the game. Thank you in advance.

At the moment Anet have stopped selling digital copies of the game due to server load worries. The chances of them opening up already choked starter areas for hordes of frrectrials is precisely zero. In 3 months you may see something.
I’ve got 2 friends who actually want to buy the game and they can’t. Something tells me they’ll be first in line before the triallists

I guess you need to find out whether they did a free trial for GW1… because if they didn’t for that game, the odds of them doing it for this game is about nil.

I believe you could give people guest passes back when GW was released, which was basically a free trial.

I understand that there will not be a free-trial for a long time, but I was curious if there was any word on a free-trial coming in the future.
