I understand that for Black Friday, I could buy a copy of the deluxe edition at regular price. However, since I already have the standard digital edition, is there a way to get the deluxe benefits for free, or must I buy a whole extra copy?

Well, you can acquire it for ‘free’. What you will have to do is save up your in game gold, convert it to gems (the price of gems is obscene at the minute so I wouldn’t even consider it) and then you can buy the deluxe upgrade for either 1000 or 2000 gems. I’m not sure which.

If you are hoping for a completely free upgrade I will pose this to you:

If you were to buy a new television (PC or some other form of shiny device) that was top of the range. Then three months later (two months, a week – the time doesn’t matter) there was something better on sale at the same price, do you think that there’s any way for you to be able to get an upgrade to the newer version, PURELY because you paid full price a while ago?

Lol if one could get a free upgrade to a Deluxe Edition, everyone who bought the game since day 1 would be getting Deluxe Editions.
