Hello, just hit level 80 last night (wuhoo) and I’m wondering where are some good places to farm for some gold/karma. Also what are some other fun things to do at 80 and what are fractals and where to I start them?

I can’t tell you much about farming since I’ve been 80 since November and I’m still kind of poor… I know a lot of people do dungeons and Fractals for money though.

Fractals are in Lions Arch, it’s a special type of dungeon that still requires parties of 5. Basically there are 9 different mini dungeons, aka “fractals”, and on each run you’ll get 3 of them at random, with a fourth one on even-numbered difficulty levels. I personally think they’re pretty fun, as long as you have a decent group. The gw2 wiki explains things in much greater detail, but I suggest just trying it. It’s pretty easy to pick up.

I like jump puzzles and WvW too, although the current WvW system has completed kittened over my server -__-

Does anyone else have any tips to get myself into some fast cash? Matt collecting routes? Items easily farmed and sold? Are fractals any good for making gold?

If the only thing you want to do right now is make cash, run Citadel of Flame.
If you want to actually have fun, there are other options.

I appreciate you guys letting me know about CoF. Just need to find someone to start it.

Is there perhaps ways that are relatively fun and profitable at the same time. I’ve been watching the timers for world event and those can be mildly profitable, is there anything else?

Also, is there a better way to find Exotic weapons, particularly ones like Leaf of Kudzu or the Lover? I would like to at least start getting materials for a legendary weapon.

No real way to get a precursor yet except being extremely lucky to have it as a drop or a mystic forge craft, or pay hundreds of gold to purchase it on the TP. What some people do is to level up one of the crafting profesions to 400 (the one that can craft the kind of weapon you want the precursor), then craft tons of level 80 exotics of that particular weapon, and start throwing them at the mystic forge hoping to get lucky. However, unless you have a streak of very VERY good luck, you’d probably end up spending as much money in T6 materials to craft as you’d spend by just buying the precursor right away.
