How do I OC my CPU? I actually never did that on an Intel CPU.

I don’t recommend overclocking your CPU if you’re using the stock heatsink/fan that was included with the CPU. Intel stock coolers are pretty terrible.

Eh. It should be good enough to get to ~4.0 GHz, maybe a bit more. Intel heatsinks are pretty good for what they are.
As for how to do it, look it up online. There’s probably some guide out there that describes it much better then I could. Not that it’s really hard, though, honestly.

Alright, thanks for the answers guys!
What i5 do you have/what speed is it? How much ram do you have on you gpu? If yo need to over clock you cpu to play, you are doing something wrong.

don’t overclock if you don’t know what to do, also few mhz won’t change anything. with that spec you should be able to play at max details, i have a lower cpu and graphic card and play at max with 30fps except in boss world, but still playable.
start to update video and chipset driver.
We need more information about which particular i5 you have before anyone can know if this is normal, or if there’s a problem. If it’s an older i5, like a 750 or 760, you’re probably gonna have to bite the bullet and turn some settings down. Test each setting individually to see which ones affect performance the most vs. how much they please you visually.
First it’s LA. Wide open spaces with loads of localized complex geometry surrounded with water and full of players. It’s one of the more stressful zones.
To truly help you we need more info OP. Screenshots of the first page of CPU-Z and GPU-Z and a screenshot of your in game graphic settings. Also if you using any of the 3rd party graphic injectors. What type of drive is the game folder on, normal HDD or SSD? LA takes quite a while to load and while it is being loaded in, even after you arrive, performance will suffer.
