Hey all, I am back from a pause of about 5-6 months and i clearly remember that i could play GW2 on my couch through my steam link. I made GW2 a non-steam game, would fire it up from steam big picture through the steam link and my controller would react like a mouse so i could log in from the launcher.

Now whenever I sit on my couch, start up GW2 my controller completely stops responding. It just doesn’t do anything at all. I tried hanging a mouse on my steam link but even this didn’t work. It looks like the launcher blocks any input being given through the steam link.

I don’t know about any updates / changes but did anyone experience the same or, hopefully, has a solution?

It might be because the client changed from 32-bit to 64-bit. My ‘add-ons’ won’t recognize the 64-bit client, so I must use the old 32-bit client for them to work.

Could be something similar in your case.

Good luck.

I tried running in forced 32-bit mode through a command line, no luck thanks for the idea!

Also tried it with the controller hanging in my pc with USB, still no luck.. When the launcher is up the controller isn’t giving any signal/input.

Did you download the 32-bit client and change its name? You can’t just add the -32 Command Line Argument to the 64-bit client, it won’t work.

Answer found: run both steam.exe and steamoverlay.exe as admin!
