i been playing on and off the past few days and ive only run into a handful of people. Theres a few random events that i came across and i couldnt even complete because i couldnt solo them by myself.. so they just went to waste. (One in particular was this worm thing and i was a mage and he was immune to projectiles… put me in a tough spot)

When will i start seeing more people?

What server are you on and what times do you usually play?

I think it really depends on the times you play on, and how occupied your server is. Every server usually has more people in the higher levels, simply because of how fast early content goes by. Also, there are always guilds in every server, so try finding an active one that you fit into.

You can always try to guest to a higher populated server. Guesting is free. The activeness off the game depends a lot on the server and the time. Some servers are really active, but have a huge WvW audiance. This means regular PvE is almost deserted on them. Through guesting you can easily check if you have a better experience on a different server. To change servers for good you either need to pay some money (bout 10 USD) or delete all your characters (you can store all but soulbound items in your bank) and change for free.

It depends a bit on the race and starting area you picked aswell. The human starting area tends to be very busy, while the sylvari area is a lot less popular.

The game has been out for 1.5 years so most people moved on to higher level content. To name an example: i witnessed a massive wvw fight last night at 5.00 in the morning where one server had at least 50 players. And im not even on a top tier wvw server.

5 attemps at the Marionette yesterday on ET and not once was there enough people to complete the activity, I guess ET hase completely given up. So even this higher level event is empty.

On Crystal Desert when i play we fill the main server and a complete Overflow each time we do the marionette. Each server have some peak hours. If you are unlucky and play when nobody else play, its normal to see not that much people.
