Guild Wars 2

I know theres been plenty of topics this type but even tho I read almost all of them, nothing helped me.

Okay so, as topic says, I need some game settings suggestion because of my “low” FPS in game. First of all, I bought a pretty decent PC one year ago. It costed me around 650 Euros back then.

Specifications are listed:
Asus M5A97 R2.0
AMD Radeon R9 270x PowerColor TurboDuo 2GB 256bit
AMD FX-8300 3.3GHz Black Edition
Kingston HyperX Fury Black DDR3 CL10 8GB 1866MHz
Seagate BarracudaST1000DM003 1TB,
Raidmax Cobra RX-600AF-B 600W

Next thing, FPS is I think pretty bad for this kind of PC setup. I tryed with 32bit version and with 64bit beta version, everything is like same. Overall I get around maybe 30-40FPS (When in Divinity’s Reach, its even less) on Autodetect settings with VSync off in all case. Now, I understand frame drops alot while in city but still, even tho when I lower almost all settings, I dont get much FPS improvements. Example, even when I lower character model limit and quality to low/medium, I maybe get 5FPS increase. Shadows Low or High, same thing, like nothing changes. I really dont know what else to do. Drivers are up-to-date. GameBooster,CCleaner didnt help. Windows reinstallation didnt help as well. Also, all cores are unparked, so Im pretty sure that Im using all 8 cores.

Anyone have a suggestion for this?

It’s the game’s engine, there isn’t that much you can do, really.
Even if you jacked up your CPU and GPU you’d still get pretty meh FPS compared to other games that look the same or better.

Pretty much same goes for Battlefield 4, The Witcher and etc., very lame FPS …

My PC has roughly double your specs and I only get a constant 60fps if I’m alone somewhere. If someone’s with me or in cities it drops down to 30 instantly, and on mass events like Teq and stuff it even tends to drop lower than 20 – nothing I can do about it, so… ^^

That may very well be, but in the case of GW2 it’s the engine and improving your hard- or software can only do so much. Hint: It’s not much.
