Greetings,

I’m looking to buy a 1440p (ideally 120-144hz) gaming monitor to play GW2 on.

I currently have a 1080p 24" 60hz monitor. If anyone knows of a GOOD 1080p 27" 120-144hz monitor please comment below…

Checking around, the brands Dell, ASUS, and Benq pop up.

I know the first two, but I don’t know anything about Benq. Reviews on it would be appreciated.

Anyone have some suggestions?

Just be aware that there are monitors that can now favor one GPU brand over the other.

G-Sync is nVidia’s hardware solution to couple the monitor refresh with a game’s actual framerate while Free-Sync is AMD’s solution. AMD’s approach is free for monitor makers to add while nVidia charges a fee which is why G-Sync is $100+ more expensive.

You can hook the other brand of GPU to the “wrong” monitor in which case it works the same as any ordinary monitor.
