Which classes have gap closers that can bring them to an enemy that stands above them?
I think Mesmer can do that with Illusionary Leap/Swap and thief with Infiltrator’s Arrow.

warrior has probably the best gap closers
but, thief has much better if played correctly (usually it’s not though)

Not including the ones already mentioned:

Thief and necro have pulls (scorpion wire and spectral grasp, respectively). Guardian sword 2 has a teleport, as well. And thief sword 2 (I think) also teleports. And warrior has a few (GS 5, GS 3 [in certain situations], sword 2, etc.).

thief is hands down the best gap closers (sword 2/steal/infiltrators signet etc.)

problem is, many thief don’t know how to use them, just like many of them don’t know how to blast or stealth. so usually, a warrior or another class will beat them at it.

Engineer rifle 5, also incidentally my best friend for every difficult jumping puzzle ever. Tool Kit 5 to pull the enemy to you. Rocket Boots to get closer.

Elementalist has many gap closers, mostly on daggers.

Mainhand dagger, fire attunement skill 3
Offhand dagger, air attunement skill 4
Mainhand dagger, earth attunement skill 3 (use twice on the same enemy)

Additionally, both Conjure Lava Axe and Conjure Fiery Greatsword have a skill that makes you rush towards your target.

Finally, the utility skill Lightning Flash has a ground-targeted teleport that can be used to move yourself next to an opponent.

Thief also has Shadow Shot (D/P #3) and Shadowstep utility. In theory Withdraw and Roll for Initiative can also be used but that would require a lot more dexterity to use.

Oh and of course there is Heartseeker …

I read all these, but have to ask what the OP means by “above them”?

No skill is going to move you to somewhere you could not normally move (run / walk to ….not JUMP to). Thus the issue with uneven ground (that you couldn’t smoothly walk / run across between skill user and target). Some skills it’s a MAJOR issue that has never been addressed.

Yeah. The “Above” note is why I mentioned scorpion wire and spectral grasp, since those pull the player down to you. Obviously such a thing won’t work for NPCs, though.
