After being out of Fractals for almost a year, I’ve decided to stat swap my ascended equipment. I’m in the process of moving old infusions over to the new gear, which include +7 simple infusions; however, I have heard it is best to convert them in some way.

What would be the best use for these infusions? Sorry if my question is a bit vague, but it has been difficult for me to keep up with all the changes that have happened to Fractals since the last time I played.

The reason for converting the +7 is because you can’t do much with it. With the new +7s you can upgrade them to +8 or higher. You can talk to the vendor in the fractal lobby to convert the +7s back into fractal relics.

I’ve actually kept my +7 simple infusions for use with alts.

There is no way to buy the new AR infusions with relics, so the only reason to convert the old +7 simples to relics is if you needed relics for some other reason. The +7’s have also been removed from the vendors, so you can’t reverse your decision later. I’ve got too many relics, so the choice was easy.

The advantage of using the Simple infusions is: you already own them; they are ‘free’ to use.

The advantage of converting: if you have tons of AR+x infusions (or gold) and too few simple fractal relics.

For the first months after the change, I didn’t convert any of my simples; it was time consuming and expensive to consider. Recently, I decided to invest in the infinite mist potions and I needed the relics.
