So lately i have been browsing the gem store, and i wonder what items are actually worth getting ? Since things aren’t as cheap as they seems. An skin will cost 700-800 gems that would be around 10 euro/USD then you can only apply it once on a armor piece. If you want other you need to buy transmutation charge which will cost more gems.

So yea any tips or advice on gem store ? And is gem > gold conversion actually worth it ?

last question how do people make game in this game, legendary sells for 3000+ gold how do people make that amount of money? i dont think they would spend 1000+ Euro in the game for that. ~

I think character slots and bank slots where worth it for me. I really liked the unlimited harvest tools. You can wait for sales they come every three months or so.
Gems to gold is not yet really worth it I believe.
Gold is there you need to find out what you are willing to do to get it. Dungeons, orr temples, mat farming (not from mobs) are just some of the ways to get gold.

Well I bought the Winter Outfit and the Ancestral outfits when they were available and neither uses the transmutation charges. It’s a complete free use all the time any time but its a whole outfit, not pieces. I am pretty sure that once you buy the outfits they are unlocked and you don’t have to use charges even for individual pieces but I could be wrong? Those charges are for those who don’t buy the gems stuff and want their armor to look a certain way.

No…trading gems for gold is usually not a good idea. You will see the conversion rate and think its ridiculous. Easiest way to get gold here is dungeon running/karka farming/world boss farming/champ farming. Basically a lot of farming and salvaging for crafting materials and selling those on the TP. Crafting mats is where the easiest gold is at. It’s by no means a quick process, you won’t have your legendary bought within a week.

If you bought gems, spend them on character slots and bank stuff like Yargesh mentioned. You will find that having 250 for a max stack will get annoying.

If you want a lot of bank space and don’t mind switching chars, buy a character slot. With 15 slot bags added that’s 80 spaces, as opposed to a bank tab’s 30. Park at a jumping puzzle for daily chest as well as an easy daily JP and toward monthly JP points. When you want to get stuff in/out of its inventory you can go to WvW and access a crafting table there. As long as you don’t go through a portal to the main map, when you log out you will return to the JP.

I have a couple of mules, it’s where I keep items I don’t use commonly.

What’s worth getting is up to you. I got an extra bank tab and character slot and I always get the special minis (the ones from packs I buy from the TP). I got a set of infinite gathering tools too, which I find really useful.

I did get the pirate costume too, but after the Wardrobe update I got it refunded because they took away most of the customisation and made it a pain to switch between outfits and armor.
