Hi,

I have the GW2 hard cover Strategy guide that I got for Christmas in 2012. I’ve been browsing through it to remind of stuff as I only recently came back to the game.

One thing it says is that you can buy Gems with in game gold. Is this true? I couldn’t find the option in the Gem store last time I looked. Is using real money the only way to get Gems?

It’s true. Open the gem store and you’ll see an option on the left for gem/gold conversion. It looks like 2 arrows cycling on themselves. You can exchange gold > gems and gems > gold.

It will tell you when you go to the exchange section for gold to gems. I think it is 10g roughly for 100 gems now.

Ahh, that’s right. I remember now. It’s not a fixed price, but based on supply and demand.

Thanks.
