Guild Wars 2

Hi all,

I’m coming back from an extended break (4-6 months), and will have limited playtime. It looks like a lot has changed =o. Any suggestions on what is good/strong class in the current meta? I wish I could try everything out, unfortunately I just don’t have the time atm. I’m familiar with most classes (pre-hot), but since I cant play too many hours atm I kind of just want to pick up w/e the current FOTM is. (I know, I know…). Preferably a class that works well in both PVP and PVE

The classes are kinda balanced now. Nobody will kick a necro or ranger anymore since they’re quite viable now with some builds.
I’m not doing much PvP, but from what I’ve heard, the thieves are struggleing at the moment, while guardians aka. dragonhunters are a bit OP, but it’s totally plausible that those get nerved somewhen.

Of course you could simply try out the revenant. They are quite fun to play and definitely worth it, even though I don’t know much about them in PvP.

Any class can do well in pvp and pve but if the pvp league is anything to go by, the most popular at the moment seems to be Reverant, Ele, Engi, and Ranger. But things are always being “balanced” so who knows what the best class might be tomorrow (sic.). I would just go with whatever class you find most enjoyable.
