Guild Wars 2

Hey,
I could need some help in getting back into the game. Currently I have 4 lvl 80 Characters, tow of them have two exotic gearsets each. One of them got some ascended accessoires and one got all besides the backpack. Im planing on playing my old main character(ranger) with the mixed accessoires.
I started playing at the release of the game. Sopped after some weeks and got back into the game once in a while. I never had any goal and I really quickly lost track of what to do in the game.
I also “played” Hearth of Thrones. I disliked the maps so much, that I stopped after the 2nd map…
Now I want to get back, since Path of Fire looks promising for me.
So how to really go back into the game? I feel lost on all the new additions to the game…
I did some Fractals when I came back once. Is that the endgame now?
Do I want to get Ascended Gear before running Raids? How to get Ascended Gear?
How to get Gold? Is there still that much crafting involved?

I think you summed up my situation exactly. Same history with the game and same main. I’m also curious about the communities response to your questions.

You may as well adopt the mind set of having to relearn the game from scratch. But if you hate HOT maps for the difficulty, you’re gonna hate PoF maps just as much.

I would also ignore any notions of reaching “end game” before PoF drops….. theres just too much you have to learn, and not enough time to do it in. With the new Especs shuffling the meta, you may as well wait before doing a gear revamp to see where you want to focus your resources first.

I’m also a returning player. 9 max lvl full exotic characters… only play the game for fun not meta…. so…. where is the fun at?

you will have to relearn the game from scratch. and craft Ascended Gear from doing pve world stuff and level up your crafting to 500 . for you to craft Ascended Gear

their is no end game at all .

you will be needing to do all hot maps for gliding and mastery points and Ascended crafting .
