I have a lvl 80 toon that is in full exotic gear. I am planning on deleting it for personal reasons, and I’d like to get as much out of the gear as possible. Would you simply salvage it using Black Lion Salvage kits? Or maybe something else I hadn’t considered?

Also, I have about 130k Karma. What should I buy with that to get the most out of it?

obsidian shards or those orr treasure boxes i think those are the only karma items that are account bound

also, if the exotics are karma purchased i dont think you can salvage them

if i were you i would do the following:

Exotic gear: mystic forge cause there is a chance of getting exotic item and sell it on trading post for money if you dont like risk go with toughtless’s option with black lion kit only!

as for exotic WEAPONS: go mystic forge all the way! no matter what. cause you know those precursor weapons. yah those!

If the exotics are karma gear, you can’t salvage them. But if you’re willing to pay for (or already have) the fine transmutation stones and black lion salvage kits, you can transmute the runes onto regular equipment and salvage those.

As for the karma, spend it all on the new orrian jewelry boxes. You’ll be able to sell most of the stuff for silver. You might get lucky with a lodestone or (account-bound) minipet. Or you might get unlucky with a soulbound endless transformation potion. The rest of what you get will be karma potions which you can use on an alt, essentially transferring some of your karma from the character you’re deleting to another character.

Run AC or CoF a few times to get 16G, buy a new char slot instead.

You can transmute any two of {skin; stats; rune} into an account bound item using transmutation stones.
