Haven’t really been playing lately but this shield has gone from 2k+ gold to around 500gold. Did anet just give a lot of them away for free?

How does it not make sense? Some people probably had many shields sitting in their banks. They then clean out their bank and list all of them. This causes supply to increase.

Maybe they stopped playing for some time. Who knows but it was definitely not because Anet released some more.

At first, I too thought it was returning players cashing in. I’m not so sure now.

At one time this thing was selling for 5000 gold.

I’ve been watching this for a month or so and every time the supply gets down to about 100, its jumps back up to 130 or so.

There were not that many out there to begin with ( hence 5000 gold ) and that one time deal only added 100 if I’m not mistaken.

It just seems strange that every few days, another 30 shows up for sale.

I guess its possible that some have managed to buy for say for 500 gold and then try to resell for 700 gold.

Other than that, I don’t know where the new listings keep coming from.

I would be very curious to know just how many there are ( since there should be no new ones since 2 Halloweens ago )…. is there way to find out?

They reintroduced like 100 briefly during one halloween for those shiny skritt ticket things. But yeah outside of that no reintroduction.

I think a lot of ppl just sell the skin cuz they need $$$$ for the HoT stuff and shield isn’t a very widely used thing outside of mesmer right now.

If a new source of shields, even something with a minuscule drop rate have appeared there would be players crowing about getting it as a drop either here or reddit.

So check to see what GW2 news was rumored or confirmed right after the Jan 12th patch because that’s when the fire sale started.

If the supply is not from those that stockpiled the shield then someone found a way to dupe weapons.

Whoever did whatever please do it also for the fused Skins! Thx
