I don’t suppose you can combine this with and egg and cheese or something in the mystic forge and get something useful out of it? Or once you’ve experienced it, do you just delete it on any subsequent character you happen to get it on?

I opened all of them on the off chance that SOMETHING will be tied to doing so. No indication so far that is the case….shrug

I’m saving them for RP purposes. Though I did forget to use one in a recent adventure where it would have worked well. Still, they could make for a dramatic moment, once per character.

I loved the present. Of course I did not open it up with all my characters, but it was a nice touch

OMG, this made me laugh. Just the idea of a brand new player opening a “present” just to get blown to smithereens even before leaving the starter tutorial…and then wondering wtf just happened.

I’ve never received one, so there must be some trigger that makes them start popping up. Maybe her dungeon?

Wiki indicates the mail was sent to all characters after the Clockwork Chaos LS ended, but your post seems to bring that statement into question.

Could be that some level of participation in the invasions or a specific achievement was required to trigger the mails. Finding out exactly what the criteria for the letters being sent could be interesting (but I’m not sure how you would find out short of a Dev telling us).

I was getting them on newly created characters. As in right after character creation. Got the letter along with stuff like the pre-order item and HoM portal stone.

Probably needs participation in an invasion or the playhouse or both. On the other hand those aren’t account bound so the other possibility is completion of the Clockwork Chaos meta.

That’s what I wondered. If it was tied to the playhouse.

If you triple click the gift you get a precursor.

These would be fun gem store gifts to send to others but they would also have to wrap all the other items sent as gifts.
