Gift of Quartz, will it ever return?
No one knows. However they did say that the Bazaar would come back, possibly periodically. If so you can mine the nodes there. Since the reward of the node was for completing a meta event, it is unlikely they will have the same reward again. If you have a willing friend or guildie, you can visit their home instance with them and mine their node once a day. You should be able to mine multiple nodes a day if you have multiple friends/guildies who can let you in their instance.

First off why does everything have to be “fair”?
Secondly, while it is unfortunate that you had rl stuff, if you miss things in game because you are gone then that is too bad. I didn’t start playing until around January so I missed out on all the stuff before that. That is the nice thing about the living story stuff. It is always changing and when you come back from a break there will always be something different.
Lastly, you already said it yourself, no one is getting rich off the nodes anyway and the charged quartz you make with the crystals are account bound anyway. Plus, as of right now, the only thing you can do with the charged pieces are make celestial gear. IIRC, all the prices for the recipes are really high anyway, so if you have the gold to buy those recipes you should have plenty to buy the crystals.
Also, Astral is right, you can always enter the instance with a friend and mine it everyday.

I don’t remember mentioning anything about it ‘not being fair’. If you read through my post again you see me asking two things: will there ever be a recipe or another pathway to return. Ofcourse they can’t keep all content in ‘forever’. This is not a whining post, this is merely an inquiring one.
The paragraph before that is merely to indicate why I would ask those questions.
Also the Charged Crystal is indeed accountbound, but before you can charge it, you have to mine which isn’t account bound. Just to make clear.
Anyway thanks for the quick reply!
