Trying to decide what utility infusion to get between:

Gilded Infusion “+20% Gold from Monsters”
Magical Infusion “+20% Magic Find”

What does it mean when Gilded Infusion says “monsters”? Does this include foes in PvE foes that are human/charr/asuran/norn/sylvari? What about invader (player) foes in WvW?

Gilded Infusion gives you +20% more gold from anything that grants you gold on that kill (that’s looting gold).

With that being said, since now the gold that you acquire from champions only comes from boxes I don’t think it’s a really good investment. I would go with the +20% magic find but that’s just my personal opinion.

And yes I know MF doesn’t affects the contents of the boxes, but it does help with the loot from other sources instead of just relying on a +3 copper loot.

go with the karmic infusion!
karma is harder to get than gold and mf (you have luck for that one), and the infusion will affect every source except potions.

Karmic is the best at present because of how nerfed the karma gain has become.

I accepted ghost’s answer because they answered my question directly however I appreciate the advice of Mystic and Hayashi.

I currently have 2.7 million karma though (I saved up my karma jugs and spammed them with all the modifiers before the update) and I’m not sure I’ll be running out of karma any time soon.

However, I will probably be going with either a Karmic or a Magical infusion now.
