Hi,

Is there a command to force the character to die or give up during Downed Mode (Fight to Survive)?

It can be helpful specially when death is inevitable and you just want to Return to a Waypoint.

Similar mechanic is present in Borderlands 1 & 2 “Fight for your life” mode, you hold a button and the character re-spawns to checkpoint.

Anyone that knows about this?

I don’t know of any 1 button to kill yourself, but every skill you use takes a little bit of your life force to use, so spamming those skills would make you kill yourself faster at least.

If you are certain to die, then you must be seconds away from it anyway. I am pretty good at rallying with most professions anymore, and it is a great feeling when you do. I rarely give up until I croak. At the very least you might give a noble soul the extra few seconds he needs to reach you before you expire. Practice, practice. Know your downed skills and never say die.

The main trick is to find the weakest guy in range and work on him. You may take a hit or two while searching him out, but don’t panic.

Or if your downed skills include movement, get to where you can heal safely (although this often requires others nearby to distract attention from yourself.) I have saved my Elementalist numerous times by taking Mist Form and jumping off a cliff. That almost always breaks aggro and gives me a chance to heal up. (Of course, when you see that you are about to be downed, you want to get close to a cliff if possible, and hope you are still in Mist Form when you land, so you take no damage.)

And using Vengeance with my Warrior (combined with the Sweet Revenge trait to avoid automatic death when Vengeance runs out) is nothing short of an adrenaline rush every time.

The other day in the Molten Facility dungeon, we were all defeated except for one Warrior. The Molten Berserker was on a sliver of health when the Warrior got downed, and we all groaned in dismay because we expected him to die and we would have to reset. But then! Warrior used Vengeance, charged the Berserker, and started laying into him. We all held our breaths. Will he? Won’t he?

He did. He killed the Berserker, everybody ressed, and we proceeded to wipe the floor with the Firestorm. We all congratulated the Warrior for saving the day.

No it doesn’t. Only if you’re Confused or the enemy has Retaliation, no different from any other attack.
