Guild Wars 2

I just purchased Heart of Thorns and the glider does not appear on my characters. I was told to right click on the back item but the glider wings do not appear.

Please Help.

Go to hero panel there is area for glider like mini and outfit. Select one you want. Glider appear when you glide but some like bat wing are glider and back item. Basic glider that come with HoT or glider that come with HoT deluxe or ultimate is not back item and only show when glide.

If you mean that the glider doesn’t open when you jump from a high place, that’s because in order to actually use the glider, you need to train the gliding mastery in the HoT maps first.

You need to start playing through the HoT story to unlock the gliders. Simply owning the expansion isn’t enough. Once you do the first story mission you’ll unlock masteries and be able to work towards the gliding mastery, which will then allow you to glide.

imagine if gliders were worn like backitems, i would poke my eye out in game and proceed to do the same irl while uninstalling the game.

You have to remember the age rating of this game, so there has to be a dress code for gliding to protect anyone who happens to look up as you go overhead: no pants, no glider.
