Going for the Hall of Monuments in 2014?
Is it possible to still get all 50/50 or even 30/50 in the Hall of Monuments? I don’t really mind how long it would take, just wondering if it was still possible. Seeing the achievement category for it being empty really bugs me, and the rewards and titles look pretty nice too. Anyone know if it’s still possible?

I think they’ve made some changes that made some of the grindier achievements easier, I know before you had a hit a few years of Nine Rings to get Lucky/Unlucky maxed out.

look for the ones when you complete all 3, it gives you a fourth title. There are several of those like elite skills, cartography and vanquish. Work those during the week and others that give bonus points for weekend events on weekends. If you plan ahead and work cartography, skill hunter and vanquish ect. It can save some time. 30/50 shouldn’t take you that long.
50/50 Will take you about a year for sure, if you grind your way only thinking in HoM points.
30/50 is much easier and won’t take you more than a few months even if you play a bit casually.

This is going to depend on what you need to max this out, titles like Vanquisher, Missions, ( HM Missions ) etc are easy to get, mapping can be easy with or without text mod, the EotN titles are easy to get etc, if you have the money in game, then sweet tooth/drunkard are fast also, but titles like lucky/unlucky will take along time, and you should probably avoid them.
It took me about 6 months (maybe actually just 4) to get my GWAMM and full HoM, but that was when the economy was still reasonable to sell things in* – I expect Obsidian Armour is ridiculously expensive now if you don’t solo-farm the Underworld yourself (or beg the materials off a friend who has a bunch of now-near-useless ecto stacks!), though at least many miniatures are likely to be very cheap (if anyone’s still selling the things) since a great many players have been around for 5+ years.
I recommend you check out wiki talk pages for missions if you struggle to get them done as a single-player party – there are number of very useful builds listed on them.
*also, I was unemployed and putting a lot of time to the game – and didn’t have access to gw2 yet
Don’t mean to resurrect this thread but how hard are mini’s to get now? Also, do I need to get all of them? Don’t know how many mini’s would still be left to buy.
For a full set you need 50 total, of which you also need 1 rare and 1 unique (green).
There is one green one you can make in-game, the mini black Moa chick. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Black_Moa_Chick Any other you will have to buy or be (very) lucky with a birthday present. Each mini must be different. If you put 2 of the same in, the second one won’t count toward filling the Hall. A full set will get you 8 points.
