Gold mailing limit
I do not know the exact values, but I heard the Max amount you can send is limited by when you Activated the account, your character level, and your total playtime.
It should go up over time as your account gets older and you play the game to build time played on the /age command.

the limit is the amount you have accumulated. So if he has never personally earned an accumulation of 7 gold, then he can never mail more then 7 gold. It is a gold selling deterrent.
This is now inhibiting me from advancing in the game. I gave him pretty much all my money to post that on the trading post and now there’s no way we can find for him to pay me back. :/
Um, you said he could send you one gold. One gold is way more than enough. You are in no way “inhibited from advancing.”
nvm. Just figured he sends me something of value from the trading post that I in turn sell. Lose a bit in the process, but that seems to be the only thing that works.
If you want to use trading post why don’t you put up something for a wacky amount then let him buy it.
You’ll lose part of the money for fees but you’ll get the majority and since the item will be ridiculously priced, no one will buy it but them.
You can test if it’s possible but I’m pretty sure you can use the checkbox to choose a more expensive item on auction than the cheapest. I’ve never tried this but I have seen the checkbox next to things being sold.
Are you both in the same guild? Why not try guild banking it?
