Q:
So I’m making my second character since I got tired of my lvl 80 ranger. I’m planning to test out a charr engineer, yet no good names come to mind. All I have so far is:
Tyndir The Techno. Is this a good name? Do you guys have any better suggestions? Thanks

How about Techno Charr? Is that name any good?
That depends if you want lore-accurate names, or just cool ones?
Charr names tend to have a first name and then a two part surname, half of which is the warband name and half of which is a personal indicator. So in GW1, Pyre Fierceshot was a member of the Fierce warband.
If you want a lore-ish name, I’d go with Tyndir something-something. But it’s really up to you!
Charrdy La Forge.
Charrbert Einstein.
Alexander Charrbell.
Charristotle.
I think you get the idea.
I ususually start by Googling in a few directions:
“famous engineers” for example then pick a variation of some one you like or you could pick one from a movie like Tony Stark. I named my Asura Engineer Tini Stark.
The other direction is to go to the wiki of a book, series or mythology that interests you and look at the lists of names for ideas.
Tech Charr Mein
For lore accurate names: here is some info from the wiki page (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Charr#Names)
Charr first names often have names based off of their culture (e.g., Pyre, Ember, Forge). Along with this male names are also sharp sounding with the consonants (e.g., using D, R, T, G, K, etc. used in names like Rytlock, Gron, Dinky) whereas female names are smoother (e.g., using C, L, S, Z, etc. such as names like Balthea, Kalla, Elexus); both genders often start with a sharp consonant though, but this is just generally and exceptions to this do exist. Some charr use Roman or Greek (inspired) names as well.
Charr surnames consist of two words put together, one of which (either suffix or prefix) denoting the warband of the individual (e.g., Crimsonsword is of the Crimson warband while Swordstrike is of the strike warband). The warband’s name is always in the same place for that particular warband.
But if that doesn’t matter all that much try some play on words.
Mb. Pyro Ingeniar
How about the name Tyndir Technogadget? Do you guys like it???
Wile E. Coyote.
Zing.
Why do you have to have a name to directly relates to the profession? I would just go with something that sounds cool. But I will say the Tyndir Technogadget sounds more Asura like to me.
How about “Woof Bonespur”….?
That was the name of my last & final Charr…who lasted to level 3 before being deleted. Mostly because I simply hate running on all fours. So, no Charrs for me, lol.
Charr Guiver?
Mr. Charbotto?
I have a Charr Engineer and his name is Mintbery Crunch. Hope that helps.
Nemea Clawfire is my female charr engineer.
