Good money making
1. Gather everything.
2. Don’t repair your armor until it’s broken (red). Damaged armor still gives you full effects, and there’s apparently a cap on repair costs (per GW2W).

Oooh. That’s good to know. Trying to make money by not using the TP is ridiculously hard with repair costs and waypoint fees.
Really repair cost and waypoints?? my repair at most is 11 silver and that is when everything is red. That only happens in the dungeon.
In PVE I rarely go down, in fact over the last 4 days my repair cost have been 0 and my casual play style got me 3 gold and change. As for waypoint travel the most I have spent is around 3s50c. I can make that back in 2 or 3 green items or 1 gold. It is not hard to make money.
Now all that said at level 9 I have know idea as money was never an issue with me and I waypoint everywhere. Time is money and if I am wasting 2 mins traveling to an area instead of being there and kill for an extra 2 mins I will waypoint there.
Easiest way?
Buy gems for real money and trade them for gold.
That’s the kind of game this is, unfortunately.
best statistical loot in the game. We want everyone on equal power base.”
1. Buy appropriate-level gathering tools and never miss out on a gathering node (Plants, Saplings or Ore). Sell the gathered material at the Black Lion Trading Company or use them for crafting.
2. Buy Basic Salvage Kits and salvage all Basic (White) quality equipment
3. Sell all Salvage Item Trophies on the BLTC
3. Sell all Fine (Blue) and Masterwork (Green) quality items you aren’t using to NPC vendors (as well as junk)
4. If you are deciding to pick up a craft, don’t buy any materials; instead farm for them or hold off crafting until a later date.
5. If you happen on a Dynamic Event, announce it the whole map and link (CTRL+Click) the closest waypoint. This typically draws in other players on the map, which causes more mobs to spawn, and thus more item drops. More drops equals more money.
With this, I typically my 2 alts hit 2g at around level 40, 4-5g by level 60. The tally would be higher if my BLTC profits weren’t being syphoned off by my main.
First time I’m reading that damaged armour still gives full effects and that there is a limit on one-time reoair costs: could anyone clarify!
You can check for yourself in-game next time you have damaged armor… mouse over the shield next to your health orb and your 6 skill.
“When all pieces are damaged, you will begin to lose effectiveness.”
Thanks Alyssa! Guess I can stop my obsessive repairing righht after respawn and spend that time getting back on the battlefield!
