Hi everyone,

So I’m trying to make a Charr assassin but I’m having difficulty coming up with the last name. I’d prefer if the last name started with the word “Smoke” due to the Role Play background I’ve made for him but anything else is fine, I’ll just fix it to match the new name.

Here is a bit of his background to get an idea of what I’m looking for,
This character is the “you’re dead the moment you see him” type. His methods of assassination vary from silently poisoning a victim while they sleep to complete butchery of the target in broad daylight. You never know exactly how he will do his job, only that he will do it. He is a very demonic looking Charr whose face alone is enough to scare grown men. He was once a part of the Flame Legion but defected and joined the Ash Legion. Because of the years he spent with the Flame Legion his fur always gives off a burnt smell hence the name “Smoke.”

I’ve seen a few Burntfur in game. Whatever first name you’ve chosen and then Smokefur.

You do know assassins do not use poison right ? It is classed as a female weapon and dishonorable for an assassin, a “surgeon” to use, as against a Warrior whom could best be compared to a Butcher …

LOL sorry, from another type of r/p where I have been an Assassin for many years:-

“I doubt that,” I said. “But we do not get much training dropping poison into people’s drinks.”
“Assassins are not permitted poison,” he said proudly.

“The Assassin,” he said, “is like a musician, a surgeon. The Warrior is like a butcher. He is a ravaging, bloodthirsty lout.”
“There is much to what you say,” I granted him. “But Assassins are such arid fellows. Warriors are more genial, more enthusiastic.”
“An Assassin goes in and does his job, and comes out quietly,” he said. “Warriors storm buildings and burn towers.”
“It is true that I would rather clean up after an Assassin than a Warrior,” I said.
“You are not a bad fellow for a Warrior,” he said.
“I have known worse Assassins than yourself,” I said.

My Charr Thief’s last name is Lotuswither. (Lotus Warband, Wither is the suffix)

The whole trick in making Charr names is selecting attributes that relate to them. The Warband name is selected by choosing an attribute that relates to all members of the Warband, then the prefix or suffix is selected by each individual member for their own name.

For example, I selected Lotus for my Thief’s warband name, because I imagined her coming from an all-female warband, so I thought i’d make it a bit girly by choosing a flower, but also a bit sinister, considering some Lotus plants actually contain traces of Cyanide. ^w^ Lotus also relates to the handful of Thief skills that are named after Lotus plants.

Then I selected Wither to relate to how shes an assassin, so like, Withering into the darkness, or it could relate to how she uses attrition to “Wither” her opponents down to their death, by causing them to bleed. (Im one of the few taboo players out there who runs Condition Thief.)

From someone’s who’s R/Ped as a warrior for years…..your terms offend me good sir…..And unless you can show evidence that assassins don’t use poison….Well good luck with that
