So i just got a new graph card and it is Nvidia GeForce Gt 630, my previous card was quite old and not able to keep up with the game so i had to lower my visuals to lowest possible so i could play this game normally and the most annoying part was that i was playing on lower screen resolution than it actually is (Subsample). Im currently in a process of redownloading a game so i tought that i would write a question here.

So im assuming this might be a wierd question but will i be able to increase my options even the slightest bit and if someone is using this card i would appriciate to tell me how is it performing in game. Peace!

I don’t know which video card you had to make a comparison and also which CPU you have, but you’ll probably be able to rise your setting, even though GW2 is more CPU dependent than GPU.

As an answer to your question, the game is processor-limited on such hardware, so it will have absolutely no problem running the game, because it will depend mostly on your processor and not your graphics card.

Just for reference: Its best not to use best performance/apperance presets.

All of the graphics options have varying effects on the game, and just setting them all to “medium” or “high” doesn’t make sense. For example, low textures is extremely noticeable, but high is not compared to medium.

Hmm i always tought that GW2 is more GPU demanding but as for CPU i have and ’08 Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E7400, 8GB of ram and a 64bit OS.

Im guessing that CPU is falling back a lot considering the current processors you can find on the market, am i wrong ? Anyways thanks for fast reply.

Oh, in that case you won’t see much improvement in the FPS, you may improve a bit the image quality, but will still feel the game a bit slow.
