Hey.
I have two noobish questions… first one: who’s the “grateful merchant”? I saw this icon on the map and I tried to get there, but he disappeared. Just curious.
Second one: how to get to the Sea of Sorrow? Is that a PvE region or something for the WvW?

The grateful merchant is probably someone tied to an event. There are certain merchants which are only available for a limited time after an event (i.e. the karma merchants in Orr).
The only area in the Sea of Sorrow you can reach at the moment is Southsun Cove. To get there you need to go to Lion’s Arch, there is a transport agent near Sanctum Harbor (ship icon on the map).

Oh, a portal. I spent half a day going around the zone, ahahaha.
That merchant’s icon was composed by two triangles with adiacent bases, one green one pink, if I remember correctly. Or, if you want, a rhombus half pink half green. But yes, maybe it’s just tied to an event.
