Greetings all!

First, I am loving the game! Only at level 9 with my first character, so not a lot of experience yet, but really getting pulled into the adventure. I do have a question though and would be interested in feedback. I really like the concept of people being able to participate in random events and not hurt, but actually help each other. What a great concept and I have seen groups really take down some cool content already.

My question is two-fold. First, as a guardian… do any of my support skills help those around me if I am not in a party with them? Secondly, thinking that the answer to my first question was NO… I thought it would be good to group with characters that were in the same dynamic event that I was in. The problem is that things are happening so fast that you can’t really ask, “Do you want to join a party for this event”? So I have been extending invitations during battle and not getting any accepts. Etiquette wise, I know that extending invitations without a discussion in other MMO’s is bad form, but thought it might be appropriate with the speed and structure of GW2. My reason for extending is only to share my support skills. Any thoughts or feedback? Should I just not worry about it, continue to extend invites in the heat of battle or try and get a conversation going before the invite?

Many thanks for your help and guidance!

You do not need to group with them for them to get your benefits/buffs.
