Guardian or Warrior?
Both are capable of either running support or dealing big damage, good thing with guild wars is you’re not restricted to one play style with each class. So err… Whichever…

Guardians are definitely more “paladin-ish” than warriors and can be a great utility / support profession, depending on how you spec your guardian. While warriors are -imho- mainly dependent on a large health pool and/or high armour rating for survival, guardians have a much smaller health pool but rely heavily on healing and damage mitigation through skills and traits. I find both classes much fun to play. Imo warriors have a bit of a raw edge while guardians are more or less the “good guys”.
as mentioned, you can spec both to do either. or whatever else you come up with. ; ))
though that being said, i do want to highlight that Guardians are quite strong being a support or highly survivable character. definitely less ranged options but not completely useless. as a Guard, you really only get one type of condition dmg thus far, which is burning. by no means do Guards not do good dmg though, even though they can easier spec into good support.
Warriors can spec for pretty darn kick butt DPS, as well as great burst dmg. i don’t play a warrior as much but they can defs do pretty good support as well.
