Guild Wars 2

I love running around with a greatsword or a torch and sword. I especially like the lighting effects of the torch in the night, and the overall feel of my character (I try to make him look like a more evil sort of guardian).

However, the spell aegis seems to ruin this mood (Big glowing blue shield on top of my torch or sword?). Is there any way to disable Aegis or select another ability for its position (Just started playing).

There is not, unless I missed in the options, which I’m pretty sure isn’t there. Suggest it? But it’s mostly for PvP purposes, others (allies, enemies) would like to see you have Aegis up, visually.
