hi, i recently bought this game, i transferred my homeworld once, i want to transfer again to play on the new server with my friends, but game says “you have to wait 5 days”. i just wondering, if i guest on the new server, when i transfer to this server after 5 days, will my guest character still be there ? cuz i want to reach my friends, they are playing now. What should i do?

With the introduction of Megaservers, all you need to do is be in the same party as your friends to play on the same instance of a PVE map. Once in a party, right click on a party member’s portrait and select “Join in [map]”.

Do note that this only applies to PVE maps. You will not be able to guest into another server’s WvW maps.

Unless you’re wanting to do wvw with your friends, there’s no need to change servers to play with them. You can simply party up with some of them and join them on the map they’re in. The only place this won’t work is wvw.

As for how guesting works, it’s reset every time you log out of a character. So, if you log in, choose to guest, and then start playing your character, you’ll only be guesting on that server until the next time you log off of that character. You’d have to re-select that world each time you switched characters.

Also characters in this game aren’t server specific. If you change servers, or guest to a new server, you’ll have all the same characters available to you.

There is a sort-of exception in that if you delete all your characters you get the option to transfer servers for free without paying a fee. But that’s not because they don’t or can’t transfer with you, it’s more a restriction to make free transfers viable for new players who want to be on the same server as their friends whilst putting people off abusing it for things like spying on enemy servers in WvW.
