Guild Wars 2

Hello,

i am a casual player, but I have to accept that I am not very smart when it comes to mmorpgs .. too many items, too many rules which most find very easy .. for me are very very difficult, and crafting is way beyond me, but thats not the problem..

The little help I need here is regarding collecting a few SETS of 6 ascended trinkets .. 1 backpack, 2 ear rings, 2 rings and 1 amulet.. which will be usable amongst all the toons i have.

I have following resources
404 laurels
500 wvw tickets

I have following toons

Thief
Guardian
Mesmer
Necro

I dont think I will be making more toons yet ..

So my Questions or the help that I need is that with above resources, could someone with all knowledge and understanding of this game ..[99% of you i think xD ] kindly spend 2~3 mins and give me a list of ascended trinkets I should collect?

I would like a full set of

a) zerker’s trinket set
b) condition damage trinket set but i want it full dire CONDI vit tough, not the one which has some precision on it..

i dont think i will afford any more, but if something is left, which other set should i collect which will be useful for some other builds?

heh and just to confirm, trinkets are swappable between toons .. right?

I was going to do it myself but someone said dont do it before asking because some trinkets are unique and stuff and you will mess up stuff as usual and waste laurels and tickets ! so i am here =)

Do it yourself,but mind you that you cannot wear two ofthe same ring (eg You cannot equip two ring of doric unless only one of them infused)but there are others there with same stats.
And yes,ascended items can be swapped betwin toons.

Ascended items have a attribute called “unique”, which means you can only equip one of that item (type), example
Zerker ring: one is offensive, and one is defensive infusion slot, you can equip one of each, not two of both:
offensive and defensive = ok
offensive and offensive = not gonna work
defensive and defensive not gonna work

The attribute defensive and offensive is determined by what type of infusion slot they can use.

For your zerker set, where you can mess it up is with the rings and accessories,

for your zerker set you can choose one of the following amulets

• Mark of the Tethyos Houses – offensive
• Call of the Wild – defensive
• Distinguished Circle of Logic – utility

for the zeker rings you have to get one of each

• Ring of Red Death – offensive
• Crystalline Band – defensive

for the accessories you also have to get one of each type

• Althea’s Ashes – offensive
• Magister’s Field Journal – defensive

And the backpack

• Quiver of Swift Flight – offensive
  or
• Book of Secrets – defensive

what I would have taken for the zerker set is:

• Ring of Red Death
• Crystalline Band
• Mark of the Tethyos Houses
• Althea’s Ashes
• Magister’s Field Journal
• Quiver of Swift Flight

For the condi set, there are no 100% Dire set, the closest is dire with rabid stats. (applies for ascended)

Do note that you have to craft the backpack with some crafting materials

Anyone who asks for help with the things they don’t know is a smart person.

Here some info the for best ways you can acquire the trinkets.

- Amulet : WvW vendor will sell it for 20 laurel and 250 badges of honor. You should get BoH from achievement so it shouldn’t be a problem and you gonna save 10 laurels, which is good even if you have plenty of them.

- Rings : Fractals is the best way to get those. You need do do only 20 fractals to get all of them. Of course if you don’t want to do fractal, you can always buy them from the Laurel vendor. WvW vendor cost less, but if you start to run out of BoH, the normal vendor can do the job.

- Earings : The best way to get those is to be in a guild that run Guild Missions each week and buy them with Guild Commendations. Of course if you don’t have a guild like that and don’t plan on searching for such a guild, then Laurel Vendor will cost you a bit at 40 laurel + 50 ectos (about 20 gold on the market).

- Back item : There is 3 main way to get a back item. Ascended crafting, Mystic Forge and Fractal capacitor. (Keep in mind that all these method will need the mystic forge, but i named some ‘’Mystic Forge’’ because they only need to mystic forge and nothing else.

If you want to do Fractal and reach a high level, Fracal Capacitor is your best choice. By the time you reach your goal in fractal, you’ll have your back item. And get rings in the same time.

Mystic Forge recipe are costly in term of gold (between 100 and 150 gold), but can be crafted immediately if you have the gold (These include Book of Secrets and Quiver of Switf Flight).

Ascended Crafting : These are special ascended back item. You get those mostly for their looks. Sclerite, Light of Dawna, Grenth, Lyssa and Spinal Blades. Sclerite and Spinal Blades use special item that can be hard to get by (or even impossible) if you didn’t took part in the living story linked to them. The 3 human gods’ back item need a recipe that you can buy on the TP. With the recide, take a crafting profession to 500, the time-gated material and all. These back item will cost you the most. But if you like the skin and you already want to do some ascended crafting for an armor or weapons. That can be less expensive than Mystic Forge back item if you take your time. But if you wanna have your back fast, these recipe will cost SO MUCH. Lyssa can cost about 400-500 gold if you wanna craft it right away.
