Guild Wars 2

We are a tiny guild of 4 active players,(NA region) needing help to claim Gilded Hollow. We’ll help you claim, if you’ll help us. If you want to claim Lost Precipice, we’ll help you, it’s just that we’re more familiar with Gilded Hollow.
We typically meet on Saturday evenings from 7pm to 11pm(sometimes longer ) US Eastern time zone. We’re looking to add 4 to 6 to our 4.(From what I’ve heard/read it seems to scale in increments of 10.)
We’d like to try again on this coming Saturday 2016-01-23.

Please add me to your friends list. I can’t promise I’ll be there, what with a historic blizzard about to sock my area with all its alarums, discursions, and power outages, but if I’m around I’d be glad to help.

I suggest a PM on these forums to check Saturday afternoon if I’m going to make it (I’m also eastern time and likely to check forums often if I’m not out shoveling, or else crippled with back pain after shoveling … ). No reverse-help needed, my guild already has Precipice. I’ve helped with one Gilded claim already.

We’re also a small guild attempting to get Gilded Hollow, so if Donari isn’t able to help you, we’d be happy to. The only thing is that only 3 of us will be available at that time, so if that’s a problem, I understand. In any case, best of luck to you and if we can be of help, we will!

We would welcome your help, Little Leota. With your 3, Donrai, and possibly 1 other, we’d have 8 or 9, which should be optimal. And we’d certainly help your guild in return. Saturday from 7 to 11pm Eastern is best for us, but some of us could be available at other times.
What consumables do you like to run with? To Donari as well – What food/utility consumables would you want to use in this situation?
And what voice chat do you prefer?

I just claimed Gilded Hollow for one of my bank guilds and it took 4 of us to do so. The only problem is that there is a mob spawn site near the centre of the map that the target is not in the same place as the actual damage zone but aoe an untargeted attacks work on it. I would just try it with the numbers you have, it does not cost to do it again. Also the more you have you run into 2 spawn sites at the same time, with 4 there was only 1.

Do we know what environmental consumables, like Fire Elemental Powder, Mortar Seed Turrets, Ogre Pet Whistles, Healing Seed Pods, etc… work or don’t work? Does the instance restrict use of things like that, or some of them?(like Dungeons)

Experimental Teleportation Gun, Healing Seed Pod, Medical Kit, and Mortar Seed Turrets – do not work

@ Yargesh – Thank you for the advice.
re: number of people – we’ve already tried with 4, and we’d like to move things along faster. (We don’t have a lot of time to play together each week.) Research seems to indicate that we shouldn’t scale up the event unless we have more than 9.

Thank you for letting us share the battles for our guild halls. I’ll send you a friend request, Elden, if that’s okay.

The food and utilities we have are: spicier flank steak, tropical peppermint cakes, master maintenance oil, and peppermint oil. If there are other things we should be using instead, please let me know.

For voice chat we use TS3.

The only environmental consumable we have that will work is the Birthday Blaster. If the others are available on the tp for reasonable prices, we’d be happy to get them. I wish the Healing Seed Pod worked though; I have that one! lol (I love Dulfy’s site!)

We’ve also tried with 4, and even with 5 once, and we weren’t successful. My research agrees with yours, Elden – the event scales up if you have more than 9.

We all have ranged professions that we can bring – two of us have both ranger & necro plus I have a mesmer as well. One of us has an ele. I can bring my mesmer for porting people through who don’t have the first exalted mastery (one of ours doesn’t have it yet), and I can switch to either ranger or necro afterwards if that would work. I do have a warrior, but haven’t been very successful using her for this event.

As far as time, it would be 5pm to 9pm for us, so we might have to take dinner breaks; otherwise that works fine for us. We can stagger our dinner breaks so that only one of us is afk at a time, if that would help.

edited to add: we have our own private TS3 server, so if you’d like to use that it would be fine. Let me know!

@ Leota – Friend request is fine, I’ve already friended you – so I’ll be on your “followers” list. Whatever food you want to use is fine. I asked so that we could provide it for you. As far as consumables go, I was just letting people know what works and what doesn’t. No need to go out of your way to get stuff. We will try to be in earlier, we didn’t realize your window was 5pm to 9pm. Thanks again for your help. Copying this to PM for you.

NWC has claimed our guild hall, with the help of the nice people from ROFL, Donari, and Black Sun Empress. Then we helped ROFL claim theirs. It went very smoothly with 9 and then with 8. It was actually fun with decent numbers. And we met some very nice people.

Thanks again to the people of ROFL, and to Donari and Black Sun Empress, who came to help purely out of kindness.

More information – You can go in with everyone in a squad, so helpers don’t have to join the guild. The whole squad will be pulled in, so long as everyone goes in as the guild trying to claim.(There’s a selection as you enter, similar to the one when entering the Guild Initiative HQ in Lion’s Arch.) The squad leader doesn’t have to be a member of the claiming guild, either.

To clarify, the claiming guild needs someone in the guild to go in first to rev up the instance, then everyone else in the squad gets the option in the drop down menu when they stick their faces in the portal.

As Elden said, it was a lot of fun with decent numbers! It was still a challenge, but in a good way.

Grats on the two guilds getting their halls. Now the collecting of stuff begins. Rumour has it though that the crafting aspects are going to change, probably not the base requirements of stuff though.

glad to help, i popped on just at the right moment.. added to friend. cheers enjoy ur hall, if u like sparring and such 1st upgrade i recommend is the arena.. its alot of fun. all the upgrades are pricey tho..
