Hey guys, Im here to ask a question to the GW1 players.
I have GW games in my room colecting dust, I would like to play them ( since I only play them once) but I hate playing alone.
Does GW still have a good community? and how long does it take to unlock the Rytlock sword in the Hall of Monuments and can you end the game alone?

Thank you
(and sorry for my english)

It’s a relatively small community but it’s a good one and there are still guilds recruiting. You can solo most of the end game, since there are heroes, (ai companions) you can take with you.

The time to get the fiery dragon sword depends on how well you do, but it shouldn’t take a long time to get it. A month maybe. Perhaps even less.

Getting 10 points for the Fiery Dragon Sword isn’t very hard, and shouldn’t take more than a week or 2. There might be a quicker way, and this assumes you have all 3 campaigns + Eye of the North:

Connect accounts for 3 points in honor.

Start Nightfall as soon as possible to get a few heroes. Dunkoro and Tahlkora are the most important ones, they are monks and great at healing.

Play through Factions until you can get a Black Moa pet for 2 points in Fellowship (Any Pet Statue, Any Rare Pet Statue). You will need to do the Beak of Darkness quest and be a Ranger to get the pet. If you are playing a Factions character you will be Weh no Su by this point and be able to change your secondary profession to Ranger.

Run Dajkah Inlet in Nightfall until you have 2 or more Stolen Sunspear Armors. They will be added directly to your inventory when you kill Corsair Guild Lords, make sure you have room for them. I’m not sure what the drop rate is but it shouldn’t take more than 1-2 hours to get enough. Put them on Koss, Melonni, Dunkoro, and/or Acolyte Jin/Sousuke and add them, along with M.O.X. (does not require armor), in your Fellowship monument for 3 more points (Any Hero Statue, 5 Companion Statues).

After this, simply finish any of the campaigns (not including Eye of the North) to get the Fiery Dragon Sword. I recommend Nightfall because it will give you more heroes to make the other campaigns much easier, or finishing Factions since you are already a bit into it. If you need more heroes, start Eye of the North to get Vekk, Ogden Stonehealer, and Gwen.

It is definitely possible to do this solo, especially if you are playing a Ritualist(this build pretty much makes the game play itself). Guild Wars 1 has a very small community now but if you can find a guild that is willing to help, this will be even easier.

If you have trouble staying alive, use this build on your monk heroes (Tahlkora, Dunkoro and, Ogden Stonehealer) and keep 2 of them in the party. You will be pretty much invincible as long as you don’t pull too much.

If finishing a campaign is too hard or too much work for you, you can try to buy a rare or unique miniature from someone for the last 2 points. Kamadan, Jewel of Istan in Elona is where most trading takes place.

You would need to start in Factions (Cantha) as a Ritualist. When you get to the point where you can get to the other campaigns you travel to the Nightfall campaign (Elona) and go from there.

From Cantha: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Elona
Take the quest Sunspears in Cantha from Imperial Guardsman Linro in Kaineng Center.

If you start in NF you’re going to have to grind sunspear rank points and that’s a pain.

So like Astral said, start in cantha and once you make it to the main land go to NF to get your heroes.

And really, don’t hesitate to send me a private message through here when you want to play. I’m not busy for the next few days so I can play whenever.
