I have noticed that a lot of times that I am farming there are a few in the bunch that do not have what I like to call “good farming etiquette”. They often try their hardest to nuke the enemy as fast as they can, kill enemies outside of the group so that only they get the kill, etc. So I will list a few rules you can use to help you become a more community friendly farmer!

1. Form a group! – Forming a group helps you stay close together and keeps you “up to par” with the rest of the group so that you do not fall behind. You are also able to set targets to further reduce confusion. This also makes it so that you do not have to hit the enemy as much to be eligible for loot, which brings me to my next point..

2. Do not nuke! – Obviously if you are by yourself this does not apply, but as farmers start to pile up the enemies start going down faster. If you are in a group of 5 or more people and the enemy is dying before some of them can even get a hit in, then you are killing too fast.

3. Be polite! – If you notice someone falling behind give them a second to catch up instead of rushing to get the next kill. And on the same note; do not hold up the flow of the farmers. If there are too many farmers in an area volunteer to be the one to guest to a different server instead of going solo and killing off “stock”.

I’m guessing this applies mainly to places like Orr. I’ve never seen “farming groups” form up in any of the maps I’ve been in. When farming, I usually just find a spot that has a relatively high density of the types of monsters that drop what I’m looking for, make a couple circuits of the area, then move on.

Farming Groups – – I love it! Now all we need is Orr on steroids! BETTER loot (obviously) and TOUGHER mobs! …and there are few better ways (except for dungeons and FoTM) for making new friends and allies.

And yes – Ettiquette is extremely important.
