Guild representation and deletion question

Hey guys,

This is a question that has been bugging me for quite a while. I created a guild for myself with the simple purpose of bank storage and banners on demand and have upgraded it a significant amount. If I were to join an active guild and stand down from representing my guild (not actually leave the guild) will that guild be deleted?

Any help is appreciated, I have checked the wiki and Google but didn’t manage to get a conclusive answer.

Thanks, Thor

Don’t stand down from your personal guild. You can join another guild and go back and forth representing them as you please. You need to remain the leader in your private guild though — if you are the only member and you leave it will disband.

Ah exactly what I wanted to know, thanks.

Just to clarify, I can remain the leader of my personal guild while representing another then?

Yes, I’ve done this before.

A lot of people do this.

You can be a member of up to 5 guilds, but you can only represent one at a time. So all you need to do is join another guild and choose to represent them on all your characters. You can change which guild you’re representing instantly at any time via the guild menu so any time you want access to your private bank or other benefits you just switch back.

No need to stand down, which as other people said you wouldn’t want to do because the guild will be disbanded.

Just be aware though that while you can be a member and even an officer in multiple guilds you can only be the leader of one (I think) so if you ever want to lead another guild you’ll have to either use the one you’ve got or disband it.

Wrong, I’m the leader of 2 guilds and I’m in a 3rd guild. I only rep one of the guilds that I’m a leader in. The 2nd guild is for the name and the 3rd guild is for guild bounties. (Since my main guild hasn’t gotten there yet… still waiting on my friends to get online. T_T)

Ah ok. Maybe it’s just a limit on creating guilds.

I just know that once you’ve created and/or are leader of one you lose the option to create another, so I assumed it was a limit on how many you could lead.

Wrong again. You are unable to create a guild while you are representing a guild, not while you are the leader of a guild.
