Guild Wars 2

Hey all. I have a question about guilds. Someone told me that you can join more than one but you can only “represent” one at a time. How exactly does this work? How many guilds can you join? A brief summary of how this works and the purpose of representing would be much appreciated. Also is there a way to visually display a guild symbol on your character like in GW1?

Ok the way this works is that you can “join” any number of guilds that you like. Guilds joined are shown in your guilds page. Now, when you “represent” a guild you gain access to their guild chat and begin to gain that guild influence… atleast I think that’s what the currency is for buying guild releated stuff. You can un-rep and re-rep at any time. And yes you can get guild style skins by speaking to the guild armor or weapon vendors, they are usually by the banks in the major cities.

You cannot quite join as many as you want at this time. There is a limit on how many guilds you can be in at once right now. I think it is 4? I could be mistaken about that part but I do know for sure there is a limit in place currently.

Thank you! If I use these guild skins on my weapons and armor do they automatically change depending on which guild I am representing?

I… have no idea. I only have the one guild and I don’t plan on un-repping them to test this.

Do you lose anything for un repping a guild and then re repping them?
