Guildwars 1 complete pack for sale, please!
E-Bay is your best bet for some thing lower priced.
Buying it from the NCSoft store probably isn’t the greatest idea. You should be able to find the game much cheaper on online video game stores. I personally wouldn’t go with ebay since you’re at the mercy of whoever is selling, but that’s just me.
Amazon is a good place to check. They have have the trilogy for $30USD
I would keep an eye on steam. It’s currently $29.99, but it goes sale every once in awhile. I think it goes down to $9.99 during the sales.
When I bought GW1 this past August, I ended up finding a local GameStop that had the physical only Guild Wars: Complete Collection. It was 29.99$US for all three base games plus Eye of the North. If you are in the US or Canada, you can try this site to search for a store that has it.
Shortly after, Steam had the entire series on sale. I believe the total for the Trilogy and Eye of the North was around $35US. They may, if there is enough demand, put it on sale again during the Christmas sale.
Note that Trilogy only contains the three base games, you would have to buy Eye of the North separately in order to earn Hall of Monument points.
With a friend, it would make things a lot easier, and more enjoyable.

I have always had very good luck with E-Bay they have a very good system if some thing goes bad to get your money back.. In the past 10 years I never had any problems. But that is not to say that there are no issues.. I have been lucky I guess.
It is possible to purchase ‘Guild Wars : Complete Edition’ which contains Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and GW:EN. However, you may well find it cheaper to purchase ‘Guild Wars Trilogy’ and get GW:EN separately.
Just make sure you’re getting a new version and not a second hand one. The box and disc are pretty much irrelevant, all that really matters is the code. A second hand code is as good as junk.
That being said, after looking at the NCSoft store, your best bet IMO would probably be to just get the Platinum Edition directly from ANet to start with. That gives you Prophecies and GW:EN and is plenty enough to get started on the HoM. Then keep your eyes open for sales on Factions and Nightfall.
