Oh really? I only have Nightfall. So i need to register Eye of the North as well even if i complete the story for Nightfall?
Yes. The physical HoM is in the EOTN lands, and you have to visit it.
To earn Hall of Monuments points you have to go to the actual Hall in the game world and physically put things into it.
You can do things in Nightfall that will qualify you for points but you can’t actually get those points without Eye of the North.

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering the exact same thing. I took a chance couple of days ago and finally bought EotN and was hoping all the fun I am having also will allow me to earn the rewards for GW2. Good to know the rewards system is still up.
And I am so glad there’s no repair bills in GW…. I’m getting my kitten kicked relearning the game lol

I think the death penalty system in GW1 can be more penalising than armour damage, especially because it’s harder to remove, unless you’re ok with going back to town and starting the whole quest/dungeon/zone over again.
But yeah, at least you don’t need to pay for it.

Yup. It’s especially penalizing in Hard Mode where you’re auto-teleported back to an Outpost upon wipe once the whole party reaches a certain Death Penalty percentage.
Fortunately there are items that remove DP but I don’t think the OP will have easy access to them for while.
