Guild Wars 2

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but here goes..

I bought gw1 quite some time ago but I never could get into it. I’ve got 3 points total from just linking my account, and I’m trying to get 2 more. From my understanding the fastest way to do this would be to dedicate(?) two minis, with one of them being rare. If anyone is willing to donate or trade them to me I’d very much appreciate it. Willing to give some gold in gw2 or whatever is fair (You can mail me or just leave a message here) Or if there is a faster option that I’m not aware of, I’d like to know that too.

If you have all 3 campaigns (prophecies, factions and nightfall) you can walk out of Lion’s Arch with any level 10 and get the M.O.X. hero. This hero can be placed in HOM directly (instead of getting an armor piece for hero first)

Getting 1 mini (any rarity) will get you the second point which brings you to 5 points.
normal white mini’s are like 1-3k. or even free.

When you first discover the Hall of Monuments, you will receive a Monumental Tapestry that you can use to activate one of the four non-central monuments. (The central monument already comes activated.)

If you have already used it on one monument, and you want to activate another monument, you will have to complete one of the branches of the Eye of the North storyline to receive another Monumental Tapestry.
(Completing all three story branches will award you the Monumental Tapestries to unlock all the monuments in the hall.)

So if you want both heroes and miniatures, you need to play part of the storyline.

If you are playing a ranger, I would recommend going for the Monument to Fellowship (heroes). As mentioned above, you can receive M.O.X. for free. However, if you also level any ranger pet to maximum level, you may add that to the monument as well for another point.

I have some undedicated (dublicate) minipets that I could give away (to OP or anyone else wanting them).

I can check what they are after work (~3 hours form now). Contact me in GW2 and I will log to GW1 for trades. I also have some platinum on GW1 account that I could share for those who want HoM points, since I already have all that I want/will get in HoM.

Edit 2: According wiki: 1 rare pet gives both the rare pet statue and the normal pet statue, so that Black Moa Chick gives for 2 HoM points if you don’t have any other minipets. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide_to_earning_Hall_of_Monuments_rewards

Or create a second character, and use the xunlai chest to transfer the second tapestry to your main character.

Though I would stick to the companionship statue myself as well.

I’m just so sad that my GW account was hacked years ago, after I stopped playing. When I logged in to see what HoM stuff I had, I realized I had nothing left. 400k+, tons of rare weapons, multiple armor sets, crafting mats aglore, mini-pets, everything…gone. I’d love to get my hands on whoever hacked me, that’s for sure. I was lucky enough to still earn a few HoM points just for things I’d already achieved. But I was too disheartened to try to play again to earn anything more.

You do realize that the 5 points will only get you 5 pieces of armor skins and the title Traveler, don’t you? Unless you want the points specifically for that, then it’s probably not worth your time.

Just asking because I’ve seen threads where people think they can use the points to chose any of the rewards they want.

On the upside, Heritage skins are pretty cool, and super-convenient, since you can get any number of them.
