I’ve never heard anyone talk about this, so i don’t know if its a bug or working as intended, but harpoon gun damage is so low that its almost useless to try auto attacking. Has anyone noticed this? If i switch to a spear, i do about 3-5x as much damage, and my skills do good damage with the gun, but my auto attacks do nothing. I think the only reason i havent check this out earlier is because im a ranger and my pet does most the damage to underwater mobs so i never really complained. But does anyone know if harpoon gun damage is bugged or something?

why does it seem like no one ever has anything to say about this. when i ask in map chat, i never get a response, and even on here, no one says anything

If you look at the description for your first two skills on the harpoon gun, they’re based around bleeds. So while the actual direct damage on hit may seem low, you’re actually doing a good amount of damage (and hitting multiple targets) by stacking up bleeds. If you want more direct damage with the harpoon gun, use the number 3 and 4 skills.
