Guild Wars 2

Can anyone tell me where to get this hat in PvE? I’ve only seen it as a PvP skin, but once during the first BWE I found it in a very low level zone. I’ve been looking for it my whole ranger career to no avail!

That’s not the Pirate hat, is it? (Can’t be certain as my characters are only just getting up to the level range where the Pirate armor drops.)

It is part of the “Commando” medium armor set. I found it in BWE 1 as well, but have not been able to find it on live.

I remember getting it in a BWE once, I don’t think I’ve seen it since launch. But since my Thief doesn’t like hiding his face, it’s not one for which I’ve searched all that hard. Anyway, keep an eye on PS rewards and drops, and don’t assume from the icon that you just have a standard hat. I’ve noticed that some really fancy looking things have standard base icons.

It kind of looks like the duelist headpiece.

edit: Oops, I was mixing up the looks of 2 different sets.

The Commando set I’ve definitely seen pieces of, but I think they were rewards from the personal storyline. However they might be a Karma vendor somewhere that sells items with the same looks.

It might be useful going over some of the more out of the way / higher level zones and cross-referencing the names of the items with the pictures / item links on GW2DB.

edit 2: Hmm, nvm. It does seem the karma sets in other zones don’t vary at all, except for the Orrian non-temple vendor, which has a different look than Commando. I feel stupid now for deleting my Commando set bits from the storyline. :/

Aren’t those what dogs and cat wear when the owners trying to prevent them from scratching or licking themselves?

From what I’ve read the storyline rewards are unique skins and can’t be obtained any other way. I have my hat and coat but not the other pieces from the story. Sorry
