It seems like I have explored a lot of area for the chart zone and have yet been able to find any jump puzzles…is there any in the chart zones?

Jump puzzles are usually linked to vista’s, also you might have done some without realising, some aren’t hard, they are just like normal jumps. They just take longer to figure out. Chart zones? do you mean charr, if so yes, the second zone 15-25 I forgot the name without checking. There is one down south which involves you jumping up and along a wall :P

The real jumping puzzles are not linked to vistas actually. They are completely desperate and typically well hidden. There is no POI for them, and many require you to find a hidden pathway through a cave or ruin, just gotta keep your eyes peeled and explore anything suspicious.

There are, if I remember correctly from 100%‘ing all but one map, three jumping puzzles that you must do in order to reach a vista, PoI, or skill point. These are Wall Breach Blitz in Diessa Plateau, Vizier’s Tower in the Straits of Devestation, and Tribulation Rift Scaffolding in Dredgehaunt Cliffs.

The rest of the jumping puzzles tend to be hidden in cliffs, or some other obscure area. They’ll often open up another area of the map (for the Explorer achievements), but don’t contain a “map completion” object. This makes them completely optional, if you decide you don’t like them that much. The Wiki has a list of them here, and rough areas to look for the entrance.

One of the ones in Lion’s Arch starts at a POI and has a Vista partway through, but it’s not necessarily obvious that it carries on after the Vista. (Unless you’re like me and try to climb up/into everything, then your first thought when watching the Vista in question will be “Wow, I wonder if I can get in there!”)

I’ve done 4 so far and apart from Morgan’s Leap which you can actually see from a distance I didn’t even realise I was doing them until I got part way through.

I hate how hidden they are, wish they would just show on the map. I just use this and perhaps youtube if I don’t know how to start.

Thanks for the replies I will def. take a better look around! Also I don’t count vistas as jump puzzles because they aren’tthe same in difficulty.

I did one when I made my first character and I went to the sylvari zone, and there was an obvious jump puzzle not hidden whatsoever, it was an obvious huge tree.

But anyway I look forward to doing some of these.

If you go onto your Hero tab, and click down to achievements .. under the explorer section it gives hints near the bottom of all the different non-vista puzzles you have left to find/do.

The jump puzzles most people talk about are the ones that reward a chest at the end. I know most, maybe all zones have them. If you are Asura or if you are in Metrica Province, the Asura starting area, if you go to Cuatl Waypoint look up to see the jump puzzle there.
