Guild Wars 2

Hey all I’m just coming back to playing Guild Wars 2 after being away for a few months, and finding out my account had been hacked and wiped clean and that is why I couldn’t log-in, ect.

So I am starting fresh and am wondering what would be my best bet to restart my account, class wise?

I have played practically all the classes to level 80 besides Guardian/Ele and I rather do enjoy them all, I just want to pick one that won’t leave me out of any of the content in the game, such as Dungeons/Fractals/WvW and Open-World Farming and such.

Since I haven’t played in months I was hoping for a class with good build diversity, one that is useful/wanted in most pug groups for Dungeons/Fractals and one that can handle his own in WvW.

Sorry for the wall of text, just tried to get most of my questions out all at once.

You can’t be wrong with the Warrior. Its popular in ALL the game modes.

Guardian, Mesmer, Thief and Elementalist are also really popular in most game modes. But for exemple, the Guardian is lacking for Roaming, the Thief is bad for zerging, the Elementalist is not that great in 1vs1, the Mesmer is usefull only 1 small quantity in Zerg and Dungeon.

Necromancer is on the bottom for Dungeon, Ranger is in a pretty bad place for anything else than sPvP and Roaming and Engineer is good in most place, but usually is not that popular in Dungeon.

Have you submitted a ticket about the account hack/wipe? It may be possible to get everything back through account restoration.

Additionally (and more importantly), having ArenaNet investigate your account activity may help hackers from accessing it in the future as well. For all you know, your account may currently still be used for gold selling when you are offline, and everything you earn may be syphoned away within a few days.

Also, change your password (if you haven’t already), and make sure you don’t use your new password for anything else.

It might be important to figure out how your account was compromised. If it was thru you email being hacked, you might want to address that….
