Having major crash issues as of this morning
Have you run a DX diagnostic? Have you installed anything else, updates etc? Look qt your device manager, is it detecting something wrong with your GPU, is your CPU over heating? Is everything being detected? And is it still there after the crash?
Edit: When you get the crash are you getting the option to send error reports? Or are you getting error codes?

The first time it happened it was an I/O red gw2 error box, then it would just freeze and crash with the error box just saying GW2 has stopped responding. Then I couldn’t even get the launcher to load. No option to send crash report.
Have run the diag, and checked gpu and cpu, everything looks fine.
Having a hard time understanding what happened between when I logged off at 11pm last night, and when I logged in at 5am this morning.
I updated my Nvdia drivers yesterday afternoon, but I was able to play for a long while after that before I logged off.

So everything is still being detected after a crash? Did you restart your PC after the driver update right away, or was today the first reboot after the update? Have you tried a system restore or rolling back the drivers?

Yea, everything was still being detected. I restarted after downloading the drivers yesterday. Haven’t tried a system restore or rolling back. The last error I got prior to uninstalling and reinstalling this last time was that it couldn’t find the .exe file. So now I am trying another clean install.

Do you have the game installed on the same drive as the OS? If so is it in a partition? Are you having this problem with other games? Have you tried the 32bit client? Or a fresh 64bit download?

So it looks like I was able to fix it. For some reason I had a copy on my main drive as well as my ssd…not sure how that happened. Did a fresh install of everything, and some double checks, been working ok for the last hour or so.
Glad you found the problem.

Me too. It was the weirdest thing… Thank you for the suggestions for finding the problem!
