Guild Wars 2

Hi everybody, I hope you are all having a lot of fun with Guild Wars 2 – I know I am!

Recently I have made it to Cursed Shore and I am finding it extremely difficult to complete the skill challenges. For example, there is one with a Champion (Gold) enemy that I cannot even come close to defeating. I have tried it around ten times, no-one else seems to be around (only bots have been around) to do it with me and I am stumped as to what I should do. I really want to finish the map!

I was wondering if anyone else has completed Cursed Shore and if you could give some tips to me. Did you do the skill challenges alone or in a group? Thankyou!

as a solo player a lot of the time I understand your pain. To answer your question, no generally you cannot solo quite a few of them. Grab a buddy or two (or wait for other players to be around). They are not that hard generally for 3-4 people, but almost impossible solo

There are a few places in the world, and not just in Orr, where the skill challenges have been designed with groups in mind. There’s really no other way around it but to do them with a group.

Start with map chat and ask for help. Usually, if there’s anyone nearby, they’ll jump in. But that also sends out a beacon to anyone else that needs to do that challenge, that they have someone else to do it with now. They’ve possibly attempted it already and got their face smashed in, so they’d be eager to get it done when there’s help to be had.

Aside from that, I find simply waiting works too. I usually don’t have to sit very long before others come by to give it a shot, then I just jump in with them. In the meantime, I farm the area. It depends on how much traffic the area gets and how remote that challenge is.

Best way to find people to do things with you, even if they don’t need them, but you do……is to join a guild and make some online friends! once you guys have some funny chats for an hour or two, they will all be willing to help you with a little completion.
