Guild Wars 2

So I’m torn between builds and weapon sets. I love both the shortbow/sword/warhorn and longbow/greatsword. Both provide good dps and was wondering if any experienced players out there can share which weapon set will provide me the best dps when their traits are maximized? Btw, here are the builds I plan on following depending on what weapon to choose

Unless you need the 1500 longbow range, it is of little use outside of WvW. And unless you need the control of the longbow, I believe the shortbow is a higher damage weapon.

Secondly, you didn’t mention what you are doing with your ranger. PvP, WvW, PvE, dungeons? Difficult to give you advice with out knowing this …

Personally, I like longbow/greatsword using a 30/30/10/0/0 build with a mix of knight/valkyrie armour and trinkets and runes of the ranger for PvE.

In dungeons I usually go with longbow/shortbow and p/v/t armour with runes of Melandru

I don’t do PvP or WvW …
