Is there a way to hide the headgear of my characters when viewing them on the character select screen?

And if not, can the option be added please. Mirroring the in-game headgear setting of each character would be ideal, but I’d be happy with just an on/off toggle that would only affect that screen.

I don’t think you can hide it on the character select screen. You can’t hide the shoulder items, either. I’d definitely would like to see this changed.

It’s something I’d like to see changed as well, but honestly, it probably won’t happen any time soon since it’s not exactly a game breaker.
My Warrior will just have to continue looking dweebish with her helmet, haha. xD

Agreed, the appearance there should reflect what you have set on your character. It’s irritating that it differs. I hope they fix this, but it’s arguably a pretty minor detail.

I am not sure if this is what you are referring to but if you press H to look at your character you can uncheck the little box in the headgear box and it will disappear. For example I can remove the face tattoo thing on my necro.

Yup, I already use that to hide my ranger’s and my mesmer’s masks. Especially the mesmer’s one. Ugh. :/

Unfortunately, that setting doesn’t apply during the character select screen when logging into the game which is what I was referring to. I was hoping that I was just missing something obvious, but it looks like I’ll just have to wait until cosmetic things like this can get on the to-do list.

Do you think ArenaNet will implement display toggles for the other gear pieces as well?

If not, I would pay for skimpy armor in the cash shop. Then, I could just use my transmutation stones to keep the look of the skimpy armor and keep the stats of non-skimpy armor.

Agreed. Hope to see this option, I don’t like headgear.
